What is his Name? // Madame Verada and OPEN TO COMPANIONS/FRIENDS

How did I get here... how did I get here... how did I get here... these words echoed inside Demory's head as she slowly rendered away from her unconscious travels to the unknown headquarters. All she could see was bright lights flashing down on her. She was strapped to a chair, a cloth to her mouth to stifle her cries, and she was chained down in every possible way. But how did she get there?

The entire room was made of chrome, and there were heated, bright white lights that were closing in on her in every area. The walls had mirrors, forcing her to look at the restrained version of herself in terror. Only moments before, she was with the Doctor, adventuring on an unknown planet that the two had never been to. She turned her head and suddenly, blink. She wakes up strapped to a chair.

Oh no... her eyes widened. Did this mean that they had the Doctor too then? Her arms started to scramble to break the restraints that were holding her to the chair as she began to squirm in her seat, groaning through the cloth as she started to breathe heavily. Where is he? Is he safe? the words scrambled through her head.

"Don't even try it," Madame Verada opened the door, slamming it behind her. The woman was clothed in a black, tight suit with her hair pulled back. Behind her was a man whom was holding a large black bag, and holsters. When Madame then moved toward Demory, she smirked, leaning down, close to her face and taking the cloth from her mouth. "You will not get out of here alive... and if you do, we'll simply make sure you are severely scarred."

She turned away from the woman, nodding to the man who dropped the sack and then left the room. Taking a deep breath, Madame Verada put on her sinister grin before pulling out a remote from the bag. "Alright... we'll start out easy. We can do this the nice way or the murderous way..." she pressed her lips together.

Turning and facing the woman strapped to the chair, she kicked her foot up onto her lap, digging the heel of her shoe into her leg. "Where is the Doctor? What do you know? What is he planning, and what is his name?" she glared, turning the knob on the remote. "The electricity running through the chair will increase the more I push on the knob."

Feeling the cloth ripped from her mouth, Siren took a big breath of air as she looked around in panic mode. She looked around before then looking into the sinister eyes of the woman who was staring at her. "Who are you..." she murmured upon hearing the threats of the woman.

Seeing that she then took out the remote from the bag, Demory clenched her fists in nervousness as her hearts began to race. What was she going to do? She could feel the sweat beading down her forehead as she waited in worry. That's when she heard the questions.

"I--I don't know where the Doctor is... I don't know anything!--AGH!" she screamed out suddenly feeling an electric current run through her body painfully. "Stop! Stop!" she screamed out quickly. "I swear I don't know anything!" she kept saying. Despite the fact that she did know things... she wasn't going to give them away.

Seeing that the woman was resisting for the most part to the electrocution, she narrowed her eyes. "Ah, we've got a stubborn one eh? I know you're lying." Madame Verada began to pace around the woman, pushing the knob all the way to the highest voltage. "We'll see if you are still able to keep your composure after this... I have ways to get you to talk."

For a moment after that though, she had noticed that Demory had still been keeping to herself, screaming from pain, but not talking. "Well aren't you loyal?" Madame rolled her eyes, scoffing. "I guess I'll have to use other tactics." Pulling up a chair, Madame Verada crossed her leg, watching the waman with a curled smile.

"So, Demorytor... are you going to tell me what the Doctor is up to yet?" she gave an innocent, friendly facade for a moment. It didn't last long though. Verada's patience wasn't one that was long. "Answer me!" she immediately slapped Siren. "I will make your life a living hell if you don't tell me."

Feeling the voltages increase caused Siren's eyes to widen quite unnaturally as she shrieked at the top of her lungs, to the point where she had caused her throat to bleed lightly from screaming so much. "STOP! STOP IT I WON'T SAY A WORD!" she continued to scream as she shook violently in the chair.

When it finally stopped, Demory broke out in tears, which covered her face as she sobbed loudly, looking away from the woman. "Please, I don't know anything, please..." she continued to lie. She hadn't even noticed that the woman had moved to sit across from her. She couldn't even look at her at that point.

When she was asked nicely once more, Demory didn't reply. She continued to look away, crying intensely from the pain she had just been introduced to. Suddenly, a sharp sting came across her face as she was slapped quite harshly. Looking up to the woman in surprise, her sobbing stopped in awe. "Who are you!" she immediately demanded.

"So you're going to play that game... the helpless little woman?" Verada snarled. "You are probably the most annoying Time Lady I've dealt with. Let's see how you manage on your feet then..." she clicked the remote, causing the restraints to release on Siren. "I am Madame Verada, one of the head council ladies of The Silence. You are here because you are guilty of being Gallifreyan and holding information on The Doctor."

Pulling on Demory's shirt, Madame Verada then pushed her down to the floor. "I'm going to beat the information out of you if I have to... I'm armed and you are not." she narrowed her eyes. "I'm head of the torture department. I know every method of pain and I will get the truth out of you..." she ripped her hand forward and pushed Demory into the wall and went in to kick her on the side.

"So are you ready to talk yet?" Verada dusted her hands off before moving for the red bag. She pulled out a pair of blades, one in each hand as she slowly headed toward the woman again. "I will break your body. I will make you wish you were dying. You're not the first Time Lady we would have killed then. We've killed plenty of your people," she narrowed her eyes.

When her restraints were released, Siren felt herself ripped from the chair and thrown to the floor. Weak and slightly paralyzed from the electricity, she shuttered in pain as she let out a slight grown. Trying to get up, she was suddenly slammed into the wall, causing her to fall over all over again. "Please, I don't know anything..."

For a moment, it felt as though she couldn't breathe. The wind was knocked out of her and she was breathing sharply, shaking heavily as tears continued to stream from her eyes. Why can't I move... I need to do something... she thought to herself as her mind raced in panic. She attempted to get up once more. She fell on her stomach again, and this time she felt the blood trickle down the side of her mouth.

Turning to see that the woman was now holding blades, she froze, watching in horror. This woman was going to kill her. She had killed others too... and that was enough to make Siren go mad. "Go on then," she spoke darkly. "Do it. Kill me. I dare you."

Hearing the words of The Siren, Verada let out a laugh. "Oh you are fun..." she took a few steps forward to her. She could see the weakness in Siren that was creeping through her body. "You won't be awake for much longer... I'm not going to kill you, but you better damn believe I'll make you feel pain until the moment you slip unconscious."

Taking a knife, she quickly slashed across Siren's face, leaving an incision on her cheek. "I won't leave anything fatal, don't you worry. But it will hurt," she gave a smile. "I'm quite experienced, don't you worry... actually do worry. You'll wish you were dead." she laughed lightly. "And I have a surprise for you too..."

Snapping her fingers, the door burst open as two Silents entered the room. Verada pulled Siren up, slamming her against the wall before cutting small incisions into her arms, legs, and around her ribcage. The woman was only wearing a sports bra and ripped shorts after all. "Let her have it..."

The Silents both slowly approached her, looking at her for a long, ominous moment before placing their strangely shaped hands over the cuts, which would cause a very painful stinging sensation from both electricity and chemical reaction. Madame Verada took a step back, smirking at them in silence "So will you talk yet?"

A sudden blade moved across her face and the blood began to spill from her cheek. Quickly covering it and trying to put pressure on it, she really didn't have time to react to anything else. She was in so much pain and trauma already, she couldn't speak, couldn't make a noise, she simply laid there, covering her face in heavy breathing.

In another flash though, Madame Verada was pulling her helpless body up and slapping her against the wall, causing her head to pound. "Ugh...." she tried to protest, but she was far too weak at this point. She slowly turned her head to Verada, tears streaming from her face as she began cutting into her skin. "Please just kill me... I'll reject regeneration... that's what you want isn't it...?"

In another flash, the doors opened and two terrible creatures that Siren absolutely hated entered the room. Silents. "No, Madame, please, please don't let them do it!" she was beginning to panic. She was sure the silents were going to wipe her memory of everything. "Stop! Stop!" she started screaming.

In another moment though, their hands were infecting her wounds, to which gave her the worst burning and stinging sensation of all. Her eyes widening and a sudden rush of adrenaline coming over her, she let out the loudest, blood curdling scream she had ever made in all her lives. Wriggling and trying to get herself free, the burning got more and more intense the harder they gripped her. "KILL ME! JUST KILL ME ALREADY!" she started begging.

He'd heard the screams as he walked down the hallways. He knew that the Silence were torturing her. He knew that the thought of people hurting her should have driven him mad by now, but instead, he felt a strange calm settle over him. Yes, he could still feel the flames of anger caressing him on the inside, but it was a cold, hard anger. One that was easily manipulated to his advantage. One that didn't mess around with his head.

Once he'd reached the doorway of the torture room, he leaned on the frame, his arms crossed. Not saying a word, he watched as the Silents walked up to Demory and placed their hands over her wounds, which the woman standing aside had probably inflicted with her knife. He watched as as she screamed, his lips pressed into a thin line. So far they seemed to have not noticed that he was just standing there. When the woman asked if Demory would talk now. Ah, he understood why they were hurting her. They wanted information, probably about him. And she was valiantly refusing, protecting him as she says.

Rolling his eyes in exasperation, he straightened up, tightening his bowtie. "Well, if you want to know something about the Doctor, perhaps you ask him yourself?" he drawled lazily, smiling wryly, "I've heard he's quite the conversationalist." He walked to the middle of the room and stopped there, holding his arms out on either side of him. "Clearly you won't be getting anything out from her." he nodded at Demory, winking at her. His eyebrows raised, he dropped his arms and sat down in the chair with straps on it, getting comfortable.

Closing his eyes, he pointed at Demory, "And anyways, if you think that this way of getting to him is wise, you are sorely mistaken." he noted, keeping up the third person. His voice sounded bored, but there was a definite edge to it. He tapped a rhythm on the chair's arm. The drum beat that the Master had been so obsessed with. Funny the things that come to your mind when you're facing horrible things.

Hearing the Doctor's words as he entered the room, Madame Verada's eyes flickered toward him in surprise, and satisfaction. This is what she wanted. She hoped that her torture would lure him in. A smile curled on her lips as she looked to the crying woman who was rendering between consciousness and unconsciousness.

"So you've decided to come then... wonderful," she snapped her fingers as the two silents let go of Demory. Seeing him sit down on the chair, tapping his fingers, she could see the anger that was beating through his heart just from the look in his eyes that he tried to play out as boredom.

"For a man who's lover just got beaten to the edge of her life, you're very calm, aren't you?" she tilted her head with a sneer. "How interesting..." She took a step toward Demory, looking down at her in a pitiful manner. "Your little pet is quite loyal isn't she? Wouldn't speak a word no matter what I did... just kept begging me to kill her. How pathetic..."

Hearing a voice she was all too familiar with, she noticed the Doctor stroll in with his calm, 'I know what I'm doing' expression. The silents had let go of her and she immediately fell to the floor on her knees, gasping desperately as the pain lingered for a moment. Her face was covered in her tears, and she weakly went to wipe them off, leaning into the wall as she listened to the two of them.

She felt her consciousness begin to drift for a moment as her eyes fought to stay open. Her breaths became shallow for a moment as she weakly went to bring herself up from the floor. Madame Verada's words were infuriating her, and she tried to use all that was left of her strength to bring herself up.

She noticed that the attention of Verada had turned to the Doctor for a moment and she decided to take advantage of this. For a moment, anger completely took over. She felt as though she couldn't control herself as her hands started to shake and a murderous look came over her when she looked to Verada, who completely disregarded her. "Okay... fine," she snarled, her eyes glowering at the Silent in front of her that had it's back turned.

Snap. Faster than Demory could even realize, before she could even tell herself not to or to calm down, her hands moved forward quickly and without consequence as they snapped the Silent's neck. The Silent dropped in the silence of the room as she backed up into the corner of the room, her eyes wide in shock. "I... no, I didn't just..."

He opened his eyes to look at the woman and smiled. Shrugging, he saw Demory fall to her knees. "Tell me, would it really help you if I got angry?" he held his hands open. "Sure, I could have a field day, getting revenge. But you really wouldn't want to see my anger." he smirked arrogantly, trying to avoid looking at Demory.

At the woman's comment on Demory's loyalty, he laughed. "Well, as I've said before: I only take the best..." he quoted himself sarcastically, his mind flashing to that moment with Rose. Blinking the memory away, he listened to her next words. "Well, she does have a rather annoying habit of giving her lives away for me." he frowned. He could allow himself to be completely truthful there. It was quite irritating that she wouldn't stop wasting her lives for him.

His head snapped up when he heard the crack of bone breaking. He looked up in time to see Demory twisting a Silent's neck at an unnatural angle. He groaned inwardly in exasperation. Of course, he thought, irritated, make my life harder, why won't you?

Listening to his words, she nodded, "May be best for you, but it's quite inconvenient for us... all we want to do is wipe their minds, but they make this so difficult... and then we're left with nothing to do except kill them," she sighed, shaking her head, although she didn't really care that much anyways. "Then again... she is a Time Lady... we'd kill her afterward anyways--"

her words stopped upon hearing the cracking bones. Slowly turning herself around to face the woman who just killed one of the aliens, she felt her heart begin to race and her composure begin to decay. "You... idiotic... little... bitch..." she felt her words rattle in her throat with anger. "I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" she immediately lunged for the girl, pressing her hands against her neck.

"You don't get any trial! Nothing! No mercy! You're going to die and you're going to hate every second of it and then I'll shoot you in the middle of regeneration, you filthy, bloody hobnobber!" she shrieked, throwing the girl down to the ground.

"I--I didn't even know I..." she stepped away from the Silent. She honestly had blacked out, not realizing what she had done and she looked down at her hands, mortified as regret filled her mind. Before she could even fathom it though, she suddenly felt hands lock around her neck and push her down against the wall as she slid down to the ground, struggling to push the woman off of her.

"S-stop--" Demory choked out, unable to breathe properly as she continued to push Verada away from her. Looking up at the ceiling, the fluorescent lights blinded her as she quickly and desperately gasped when the woman had let go of her neck. Coughing restlessly, she was still being beaten senselessly by the woman who was now screaming threats at her and all Demory could do was try to crawl away. "Get off of me!"

He was going to talk his and Demory's way out of this mess, but clearly Madame Verada had different plans. The moment she jumped onto Demory, his anger flared. He got up and crossed over to the two slowly, his jaw clenched and his eyes blazing with fury. Verada's back was to him, so it was simply too easy for him to grab her by the back of her shirt and pull her sharply away from Demory.

Throwing her on the ground, he rounded on her. "In what world do you get to go on living after this?" he thundered, white hot fury coursing through his veins, "Tell me, in what world do I let you walk away unharmed?" He knew that it wasn't very good for him to be showing his rage like this, but the sight of the woman hurting his Demory had driven him over the edge.

Feeling the pull on her shirt as she was suddenly thrown off Demory, she was then pinned down by the The Doctor, and she saw something in his eyes that she had never seen in him before. Eyes widened and with slight anxiety coming over her, she tried to get away from him, but his strength over her was too strong.

His words echoed in the room with a darkness lingering over them and it was quite haunting to her as she simply stared at him with anger and irritation. "What's that supposed to mean then?" she spat out quickly. "What do you intend to do? Kill me?" she then looked back over at the Siren. "You're going to let me suffer because I want to throttle the living hell out of that wench, hm? I really don't believe you'd actually be able to hurt me. You're all talk."

When Verada had been thrown off of her, Demory immediately began gasping for air and coughing as she tried to sooth her throat from the pressure that had been restricting it. Getting herself up from the floor quickly, she leaned back against the wall as she suddenly saw something in the Doctor she had not seen ever in her centuries of knowing him.

There was a look in his eyes that was murderous and a demon that was manifesting itself with every word he spat out. Her eyes widened as she watched in horror, her hearts racing as she watched from the side, unsure if she should intervene or not... she honestly wasn't sure if he was all right in the head at that moment and if he'd lash out onto her as well if she tried to stop him. "Doctor..." was all she could sputter out in a whisper.

He glared at the woman lying before him on the floor. All talk? Well, he couldn't say. He'd never been this livid with someone in this incarnation yet. Even he didn't know what he would do. "You clearly haven't met me in this regeneration yet." he growled, stepping closer to her. "But," he spoke in a much softer voice now, finally reining in his anger, "I'm not entirely sure what I'll do to you. I've never wanted to hurt someone so much. Well, someone other than the Daleks, that is..." He smiled grimly at her.

His smile faltered when he heard the whisper behind him. Still looking at Verada, he straightened up and blinked a few times. It had only been one word, but it acted like a slap to the face. There was fear in it. Not the normal fear of getting hurt or dying. Fear of him. He slowly backed up from Verada and cleared his throat. "Now, if you'll excuse us, we have things to do." he spoke softly, slightly horrified that he'd come close to... Don't think of it. he ordered his mind. Of course, it was no use, but he liked to think that it helped.

He walked over to where Demory was, keeping an eye on Verada, and crouched down next to her. Holding out a hand, he murmured softly "Ready to go home, Dear?"

"No, I have not met you in this regeneration, and I hardly doubt that I'll see anymore, considering you've got nothing left in you," she spat out bitterly as she got herself up as he had let go. When he had mentioned that they had things to do, she smirked. "Oh really? Things to do? Like what? Make the tramp believe your petty lies 'for her protection' and go off and get her blown up for you again?"

Verada was absolutely livid at this point for what the Doctor had done to her. Crossing her arms with a sinister look, she breathed in. "Let's face it, Doctor. The only reason you keep her around is because you know you're safe and can cheat death. You're on your last life while she wastes hers down the drain just to save you. You're the most selfish man in the universe."

Still in the corner, Demory found herself beginning to zone out into her thoughts as they echoed in her head, telling her she needed to get out because he was being dangerous. She had never seen that side of the Doctor before and it honestly scared her. Shaking it off quickly, she noticed a hand in her face as she looked up, seeing the Doctor crouched down next to her, asking her if she was ready to go.

Looking at his hand for a moment and unsure how to respond, she slowly reached over and clasped his hand tightly before looking up at him with a apprehensive nod. Getting herself up, she looked back at Verada when she had began speaking. A frown curled onto her face at every word she spoke, making it as though the Doctor had brainwashed her into believing she was worthless and wasted her time on the Doctor.

Anger flaring up inside of her, but too weak to do much about it, she quickly clenched her fists, looking back at her. "I do not waste my lives on him. I lived perfectly full lives in every body I've had and I am absolutely honored to die for such a man. He is the greatest man I've ever known and has saved my life countless more times than I could ever save his."

The Doctor tried to ignore what Verada was saying, but he couldn't stop the hand that wasn't outstretched from clenching. Not wanting Demory to see his difficulty in holding back his anger, he closed his eyes and turned away from the woman who was taunting him, smiling sadly at Demory as she defended him. "You're very kind, dear, but she does have a point. You really must stop dying for me." he murmured.

Holding her hand tightly-partly to reassure her, partly to keep him anchored-he led her to the door, glaring at Verada coldly. "Yes, I agree that I'm selfish. But you call her anything remotely downgrading again, I will not hold myself back as I did before." he spoke in a clipped tone. He glanced at Demory quickly, and walked quickly to the door, wanting to patch her up as quickly as possible.
