New Perspectives// Open

So much had changed in this world since The Master had been lingering at the end of the universe. Earth, a level five planet, barely in his opinion, with a population of millions. Ever growing and ever so dull, they were barely learning to crawl whilst on Gallifrey we had been like gods. Our planet was gone and now The Master is stranded on this little world with it's rather idiotic people.

Sighing he turned and strode forward down the street, his hands in the pockets of his trench-coat. Wary green eyes scanning people as they brushed past him, the drums in his head his only company. "Such a waste..." He muttered aloud, irritated by the peoples slow progress on this world. They could do so much more with a proper leader and they didn't even know it.

Jack Harkness had taken time to go on a long walk away from Torchwood and his allies, he knew that things would not always be simple as they were now but he would try his best. He needed to keep an eye on Torchwood and to help The Doctor as best he could because he cared about The Doctor's well being. The Doctor was a friend and so he had taken time to take over Torchwood so it's goals would change.

When Jack heard a familiar voice he looked at the man and felt his blood run cold, The Master. He stalked towards him a grin plastering on his face as he did so, he hated this man with a passion but for the moment he simply kept up appearances. "What's a waste?" Jack asked softly as he looked at The Master feeling the anger bubble in his chest oh he had to do his best to keep calm.

The Master stopped and turned upon hearing the voice. "Well, well, If it isn't handsome Jack. Hello again." He murmured and nodded his head lightly. "The waste is how slow you humans are progressing, you get far but it takes so long to get there. Simple calculations are the barrier between your world and the universe."

Keeping his hands stuffed into the pockets of his grey trench coat he eyed the man warily. "Why did you approach me?" He instantly moved himself backwards, cautious. His green gaze flickering oddly, he wasn't sure what to think really and the drums pounding in his head didn't help him think any clearer.

Jack grinned at him, "Hello indeed." He said as he put a hand on his pistol listening to his words he was going to blow The Master out of existence all to soon. For now though he'd give him a chance to speak on his own behalf. "We humans don't want to join the universe not yet. They..." waves hands to the rest of the people, "Aren't ready." He told him bluntly.

He smirked at The Master and knew that this was going to be interesting indeed, right now he didn't want to kill him not yet...but all too soon. "Because I wanted to..." Jack spoke his words hissed as he looked at The Master a pleased look on his face as he watched him carefully. The Master was cunning and very quick to attack when it suited him.
